It's a nightmare scenario... an investor in your real estate investment deal gets cold feet.
This is an area of risk that you need to be prepared for, especially if you are a newer investor, without a long track record.
So what happens if an investor backs out of your deal?
The best thing you can do is to be prepared. You have to first understand the main reasons an investor would back out. Think from their perspective.
More often than not, something changed in their lives and that capital is no longer available for them to invest. It can be hard not to take that personally, but this is business.
Next, you have to think about your deal. Can it be salvaged? Where are you going to find another investor?
